Study Abroad For More Career Opportunities

As a Fulbright, students at the University of Illinois can expect to see their travel expenses, insurance and pays all or part of their tuition fees. This is how the Fulbright Program, sponsored by the federal government works. Programs to promote study abroad have become more popular in recent years, with the participation between 1995-1996 and 1999-2000 increased 45 percent, according to the Association of International Educators. Many colleges and universities offer scholarships for these programs. Scholarships may be available through the Institute of International Education, the Alliance for Global Education and Whitaker, actuarial, Alicia Patterson Foundation and Zonta International.
